Riveting and Conventional Fastening: What to Compare
A practical comparison of process logic, force control and application selection.
Start with process data.
Rivet diameter, required force, workpiece range and stroke are core inputs for machine selection. Do not size a machine from tonnage alone; part geometry and production cycle should also be considered.
The P1000 example
The supplied technical table specifies P1000 at 1280 kg force, a 70–130 mm workpiece range, 3–8 mm rivet diameter, 0.37 kW motor power and 70 mm stroke.
Technical validation
Final machine selection should be validated with the actual part, tooling, material and production conditions.
